The Pinterest Method: How to Ask Your Body What It Really Needs

Hear the truth your nervous system already knows.

I dare you.
Go on Pinterest.

Or pick up a magazine in a waiting room and take photos of the pages you like. There is absolutely no excuse not to try this. You can tear pages out, screenshot things in your favourite shop, save images, throw everything in a folder called “Brain Noise” — whatever works.

This exercise is simple:
let your body react before your brain does.

If Pinterest is easier, use Pinterest.
If not, use your camera roll.

If you want to look at my boards and screenshot whatever stops you mid-scroll, that’s fine too — as long as it’s for personal use only.

Later, when you go back through your screenshots, you’ll suddenly see:

“Oh… all of these look the same.”

That’s the point.

Your body has been trying to tell you the same thing for years.
Pinterest just makes the pattern visible.

Maybe your board is full of soft lighting, beds, sofas, blankets, dark corners, warm textures, footstools, places to curl, nap, hide, stretch, and breathe.

Maybe your board looks like a nest.
Because maybe that’s what your nervous system has been begging for.

And here’s the part people don’t like hearing:

If you keep romanticising the idea of “staying in bed” or “just resting for a week,” you may actually end up where I am — except not in the comfortable, curated way you imagine.

Chronic pain is not aesthetic.
Being bedridden is not a vibe.
But survival can still be beautiful if you build the right environment around you.

Your pins aren’t random.
Your screenshots aren’t random.
Your body already knows what it needs — this method just translates it.

And that is the beginning of your nest.

Your body already knows what it needs — Pinterest just shows you.
